3 Discount Ways to Enjoy a Cruise Vacation to Europe

A cruise vacation to Europe promises an exciting journey to places you can only see in atlases and encyclopedias. But no matter how beautiful these cities may seem, your experience would be a waste if you spend your time unwisely. The most important thing in any cruise vacation, along with safety, is for you to enjoy your time. You don't want to waste those hundreds of dollars and tons of effort, do you?

Europe means savoring every moment so make sure that you live for the moment by doing at least one or all three of these activities:

1. Architecture Tours. Your trip to Europe won't be complete without at least visiting a museum, a cathedral, or a public library. Why not make it a point to stop and visit a landmark museum or a building in every place included in your itinerary. Cruise passengers don't have to be cooped up inside the ship, you are allowed at least a day to explore the cities. Stretch your legs and ask your guide about the nearest museums, ruins, or interesting buildings around. Take pictures of the buildings or if you have someone with you; have him take your picture while posing in front of these impressive locales. Make the most out of your architectural tour by actually learning a bit of interesting history or trivia about each building. This way, if and when you decide to share your experience with others, you can also tell them something fun or useful about the place you are describing.

2. Culinary Tour. Aside from impressive landmarks, Europe is also famous for its cuisine. The variety of European cuisine may be represented in your ship's kitchen but nothing can beat savoring a local delicacy made in the place of its origin by traditional methods. Why not make a game of it and try to find out the best cheese in all of Europe? Sample those from Italy and see how these are different from that of the French or the Germans. Alternatively, try the different wines but don't get drunk so you can still enjoy the rest of your European cruise vacation.

3. Adventure Trip. If you crave fun and adventure, ask your guide and know what the local pastimes are in the places you will visit. Try skiing on the Alps or swimming in the beaches of Italy. Alternatively, grab a backpack and stroll through the streets of France and try to meet as many people as possible. This way, instead of merely collecting pictures of your travels, you also get the chance to meet new friends as you go along with your cruise vacation to Europe.

Your Europe cruise vacation is a time well spent if you feel like going there again because you enjoyed the trip so much.
